Reading, PA – Today, the Reading Area Water Authority issued the following statement in response to the closing of the Administrative Office located at 1801 Kutztown Road for the purposes of disinfection and sanitization as a precautionary measure after an employee tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.

“Earlier today, in consultation with the Chairman of the Board Steve McCracken and Solicitor Ed Stock, I announced the temporary closure of the Administration Office and ordered all “administrative” employees to work from home until further notice. Our maintenance vendor will be performing a disinfection and sanitization procedure. The Administrative Office will remain closed until it is determined to be safe.”
