RAWA is pleased to announce that all testing has come back and the boil water notice that was given on Monday September 14, 2020 to the area of the water main break at the intersection of N 13th Street and Oley Street has been lifted.
RAWA is currently repairing a 12″ water main break in the intersection of N. 13th & Oley Streets. The 12″ main break has caused a loss of positive water pressure to the higher elevations in our North East section. All above Hampden Boulevard.
A Swiftreach broadcast will be sent out to inform the affected customers of what has happened and what they are to do for their safety. The Swiftreach broadcast will serve as their boil water advisory. The main break has affected 400 customers.
Crews are isolating the main break area now and once the main is isolated, water will be restored, except for the 600 & 700 blocks of N. 13th Street.
If you have lost water completely, you will be asked to boil your water until it has been tested and passed all testing. CLICK BELOW TO VIEW BOIL WATER NOTICE.
The Regularly Scheduled RAWA Board Meeting will be held at 4 pm Tuesday September 15, 2020 via ZOOM. If anyone has any public comment they would like heard please email it to: INFO@readingareawater.com
